State Editor
The State Editor dialog box is used to create and edit states. This dialog box is accessed from the Edit menu. Required fields are displayed in bold type. Modifications made with the State Editor will be updated in the FeatureState table.

Name |
The name of the field that models the object life cycle in the Expert Designer database. The Name field is editable only if you are creating a new state. Clicking the box in the empty grid displays a button for opening a drop-down list showing all the available states. The list is derived from the Attribute Legal Values list for the life_cycle_status attribute domain. Creating a state in the State Editor will make it available on the State Transitions page. |

GIS Name |
The name of the field that models the object life cycle in the GIS. |

OK button |
Saves any changes and closes the dialog box. |

Cancel button |
Discards any changes and closes the dialog box. |
|
New button |
Creates an empty row in the grid for creating a new state. |
